Please tell me if the NVIDIA 330M graphics card will be a problem for not. I want the graphics card to be good, and I'm certain the ATI Mobility Radeon is better.. I want the best gaming computer I can get.

The Reason I am debating so much is because the Toshiba was the type of keyboard with the letters and all, but then the numpad with NUM LOCK which I need. The HP (first one) does not have a numpad, not so sure about the num lock button being on there.

For those with experience, please enlighten me on which one will have better hardware and gaming, ect.

I need a quad for a reason.

AFC East
Pats 11-5 (Still better than any team in this division but their lack of pass rushing will keep them from being SB calibur)
Dophins 10-6 - Good team that's been coming around.
Jets 7-9 - This team was able to beat an over rated bengals team, and the san diego chargers who only make the playoffs because they play in the worst division in the NFL. But they downgraded their rushing attack and will have to rely on Mark Sanchez to put points on the board. Ms. Sanchez is far more concerned about her hair than winning so this wont be a very good team.
Bills 5-11 They're the bills what can you say.

AFC North
Baltimore 12-4 A decent team last year that had a great off season. They could very well be the SB team for the AFC this year
Cincy 10-6 - Cincy isn't great but their good enough and have had a decent off season. I think they will be a wc team
Pittsburg - 8-8 - If pittsburg is lucky they will finish at 500. But this team wont have their starting QB for a few weeks and troy p will only play if he's one hundred percent, if he so much as breaks a nail he's out.
Cleveland Clowns 3-13 - Manjackass will come up with game plans that ensure this team has no chance of winning.

AFC South
Indy 12-4 - Still a good team, no reason to think they wont win this division even though I think the other 3 teams might be in the mix of the playoffs.
Titans 11-5 - I think they showed they're a tough team last season and they have one the best running backs in the league.
Texans - 10-6 - Another winning season, no playoffs though :<
Jags 9-7 A tough enough team but Del Rio has to go for them to be legit contenders.

AFC West
Chargers 10-6 win the division get their asses kicked in the playoffs.
Chiefs 8-8 - an improving but not there yet team
Broncos 7-9 strong start as usual weak finish
Raiders - 4-12 same old oakland

NFC East
12-4 Dallas is pretty good and will win this division
11-5 GMen - the gmen are still a good team and will play decent throughout the season
8-8 - Foreskins - A team that will show good improvements with a new coach and qb, but they wont be playoff bound in a single year
6-10 Eagles - As nelson munns would say HA HA. They traded their starting qb and michael vick is getting into more trouble

North
Packers 11-5 - They're a good team and wont fall to many times this season
Vikes 10-6 - A move might become very distracting to them. Remember the browns in 95, vikes are likely going to have to make a decision sometime this year and it wont likely be to stay in a stadium for outrages rates when they can move to the LA market
Chicago - I told Jay Cutler I think the bears will be third in the division, he tried to throw a punch at me an it got intercepted. Then he tried to throw a tantrum and that got intercepted too. He sees what I mean.
Detriot 8-8 finishing at 500 and making progress.

New Orleans 13-3 still gonna be at the top of their game, perhaps wont win back to back sb's but still gonna be a force
Atlanta 11-5 a good team that is moving in the right direction
Carolina 6-10 no reason to believe they wont suck
Tampa Bay 6-10 still to young of a team to be a force

West
Seattle 11-5 Pete Carrol and a few free agents will make a difference. This team will suprise some people this year.
9ers 10-6 Getting back on track but I think the hawks are better
Cards 9-7 not a bad team but not a contender anymore
Rams - they wont even bother keeping track of their losses this season

How do I find out if my husband is gay?

I've asked him straight out already and the answer was simply no. I don't know whether to believe him or not. He wasn't upset at all about me asking. Is that odd? The reason I asked was because he is not interested in having sex with me. We are busy; we have 2 small children which does effect things. Yes, I look fine, no, I am not fat, I actually have done my best to look good for him despite a limited budget. It saddens me that other guys tend to notice but not the guy in my own house!

Before we married we had sex often enough I'd say but after we married and I got pregnant it slowly went down hill. I really don't think he is cheating on me at this point. I am the one that manages the accounts and I talk with him often during the day. In all other respects he is very kind and loving, but it's like he has NO sex drive. The reason I suspect he may be gay also has to do with the way he acts. He is not the typical "macho" man i've been around before, he doesn't take the lead on ANYTHING. I have to make just about all the decisions, he is that passive. He is also shy in many situations and I have to ask questions and handle business matters because he wont. When we do have sex I am the one who initiates and I HATE it! I never had to do that with anyone before, certainly not every time! I have also told him how I feel about it.

I am at the point where I don't know what to think! We have been married 3 years and I don't want to spend more like this! I still strongly suspect the gay thing and would love any advice on how to tell. (Please no crazy suggestions like try a threesome) I have not run into any gay porn, my computer is free of the stuff.

Rage, you are right I do not understand shy men. I apologize if my post offends you. There are women who do great with shy men...I guess i'm not really one of them though. www.mycleanpc.com advertises a "free" PC clean up so that your computer will run faster and better. However when you initialize this program it ends up charging you a fee. I found this in most advertised programs. Evidentially, the word "free" as defined by Webster has a totally different meaning to these advertisements.

Will a Region 2 imported DVD play in my iBook?

I want to get some DVDs that haven't been released in a USA format, and one of the sellers claims in the description that it'll play in most computer disc drives, but I don't know. Do I have to run some kind of program on my computer--which is an Apple iBook G4--to make it region-free (and if so, what)? Or will it just play?

Well, lately my laptop's been acting weird, and I think it might be the motherboard, so I think I might just get a new laptop.

Anyway, I know when you get new computers, they always come with ads and free trials and random unnecessary programs installed on it that can cause it to run slower, correct?

Is it possible to do a system restore or something, so that I can get rid of all those programs and have just the basics?So I can start from scratch for real? I'll just transfer all my old files over to the new computer.

Who will be on top of the AFC North?

The Bengals look extremely resilient and strong this upcoming year. Their offense has two good/great (not elite) playmakers at the starting receiver tandem as well as an upgrade at the Tight End position with first round draft choice, Jermaine Gresham. They also still have an elite running game behind Cedric Benson and Bernard Scott. Their defense is also great, with one of the best cornerback tandems in the NFL with Leon Hall and Jonathon Joseph as well as upgrading the front 7 who is led by Who Dey Rey with Carlos Dunlap. They look to be only better than the surprising team who finished atop the division last year.

The Ravens were looking like the Superbowl favorites at the beginning of the offseason. Injuries have plagued them already with severe losses in Ed Reed and Sergio Kindle. They are still looking at a great defense and upgraded offense. Giving Joe Flacco Anquan Boldin and Donte Stallworth makes the offense top tier. He already has elites in Ray Rice, LeRon McClain and Todd Heap. The defense has always been stable enough to keep the Ravens ahead of or in the game. Rarely do they fall behind and even if they do this year, their new offensive aerial attack will definitely keep them shooting for that AFC North crown.

The Steelers lost Ben Roethlisberger for 6 weeks, Santonio Holmes and Willie Paker. This is a crucial hit to their once thriving offense, but that could be easily overlooked by the Steelers. They upgraded their offensive line with first round draft pick Maurkice Pouncey and in the free agency market (correct me if I'm wrong). They had a quiet offseason but have discovered a hidden gem in Reshard Mendenhall. They also have Lamar Woodley holding out. Can the Steelers overcome all these offseason plagues and distractions?

The Browns are going to... LOL, jk. If the Browns win, then go ahead with that 2011/2012 lock out!

Question about Air Force schedule?

I am about to turn 18 and I have no choice but to go into the Air Force in order to pay for my own college+getting all the other benefits. What really worries me is that I am also a performance distance runner (been my dream since I was little) and I want to take it to a higher level after the Air Force. I only need to run 5 days a week for 30-60 minutes. I know that you run in the Air Force but I also want to run for performance (get to world class level).

So I was wondering if in the Air Force, you get at least 1 hour of your own time everyday to yourself. It doesn't have to require leaving the base, because in my situation, I just want to go out and do some speedwork during that free time. Do they offer that in the Air Force are are you bound 24/7 to always carry out something?

How to help my dog lose weight?

So I have a little terrier named Boo Boo and during her last check-up she was found to be overweight by 2 pounds. Of course, she hadnt had her hair cut the day of the check-up and she had mats and other circumstances that might of added on a few ounces but I hope the vet had took that into consideration. However, regardless we still want her to be in the healthy zone. Boo Boo is a free-fed dog but she doesnt eat her food that much. When she does she eats her foot one piece at a time. We dont take her on very many walks however but we do occasionally and she does run around the house. We do feed her treats though, and occasional human food and we are trying to cut back on both of those but even with out them she still gains more weight. So heres where you can help, Boo Boo is 13.5 pounds and she is about the size of a scotty. She doesnt appear overweight but she needs to lose 3.5 pounds. She is allergic to corn and wheat which is a big problem when finding pet food. What would be your tips on things we could do to help her lose weight. Like a certain distance we should walk her every day, or what dog food is low in calories and high in vitamins and such. Things like that would be very helpful. Thank you!

Can't conservatives understand that the U.S.-Mexican "Border" has NEVER been "Secure"?

The so-called "border" runs right through large metropolitan like El Paso-Juarez, San Diego-Tijuana, etc. These majority-Latino areas are totally dependent on the free flow of people and goods throughout the area. This is why the majority of border mayors are against the fence.

Remember: Latinos didn't cross the border. The border crossed Latinos. If the immigration "crisis" means anything, it means that it is time for deeper U.S. - Mexico integration, not time for racism, scare tactics, police brutality, and wall-building.
Why be so legalistic about "sovereign national borders" and "federal law"? In real life, these things don't mean anything as far as U.S. - Mexico relations are concerned, and never have.
American people don't respect the border. They ignore Mexico, except when it comes to needing cheap labor to do all the hard work. That's a big difference.

Another MW2 sucks question?

OK, I was just looking at yahoo answers rants about how people saying how MW2 sucks (i no rite like no life) but anyway, people would challenge the statement that MW2 sucks by saying a good player can counter - campers, commando, noob tubes, and much more horse shit I can't think of right now.

So let's start off with campers...
OK now even if you're the biggest MLG in all of MW2 if you walk around a corner and a guy is sitting in a dark corner there is NO WAY you will be able to counter him unless 1. he sucks or 2. he already killed you in that spot before.

Now moving on.
Commando is another bull crap perk you have no way of avoiding, I mean really if you're going down a narrow hallway and someone randomly runs out of a room into the hallway with marathon, lightweight, and commando with a tactical knife, 9 times out of 10 he's going to teleport 20 feet and stab you in the damn face. Oh and I've tried dropping to the ground before he lunges, and yea, that doesn't work...

Now for the crappiest thing in the game - noob tubes. There is just no counter for these damn things I mean some guy can sit in one area the whole game and just shoot his one man army danger close noob tubes down one area and there is no way you can avoid them, you might say just put on blast shield if you're in a noob tuber lobby, well I've tried that and since it only negates the danger close perk it's basically just you facing a regular noob tube.

Anyway, there are 3 things right there broken about the game that should be enough alone to make this game the worst game ever made, and to people who disagree (most likely) this is your first COD, or you played WAW or COD4 and you absolutely sucked at that game, so you think this game is amazing since it is so noob friendly. Also, don't say i hate the game because i absolutely suck at it, I actually had a 1.61 KDR before i returned it about 2 months ago...

Well that was my 2 cents feel free to give reasons why I am wrong, heck if you make me think twice about the game I may just choose you as best answer, but... probably not. :)

Can somebody explain to me why Obama refuses to adequately protect the U.S./ Mexican border?

This is serious business that requires urgency and we are not getting that kind of action from the Whitehouse. If I were president, a huge military force fully equipped that would include Apache helicopter gunships. I would also have military prisons situated in several locations along the border. I would also drop leaflets on the mexican side mapping our kill zones where we will take no prisoners. That map would just leave very few spots that are not kill zones because those will be filled with tanks and infantry divisions. NOW DON'T YOU THINK THAT THESE PEASANTS AND DRUG CARTELS WOULD STAY ON THEIR SIDE KNOWING WHAT THEY WILL BE FACING? Yes, they would. As it now, they are running free through our country all because of the federal government's (Obama) lack of action to protect our borders at Mexico.

Also, what's up with Mexican Americans thinking that all illegal Mexicans should have a free pass to our country? Excuse me Mexican Americans but what you are asking is for breaking our laws and to show favoritism neither of which I am interested in.
I agree that GW did not do crap either. But GW would have never sued the state of AZ trying to protect itself and uphold the laws of this country. That's a fact.

Soul Protector

Charlie grabbed the picture from his nightstand and bolted out of the front door, almost tripping over Alfie. Alfie was grandma’s 105-year-old yellow lab— that’s in dog years, of course. They shared the same birthday together, only one year apart. Charlie just turned 14, but somehow, since the passing of his parents and grandfather, he felt older, wiser. Alfie acknowledged the disturbance of his nap with a lazy, single bark and then settled his head back down on his arthritic paws to dream the rest of the summer day away.

Across the street, Ashley was playing in her tree house, using her dad’s fishing pole to hook small bags of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish her mom left for her under the shade of the huge tree. She perched herself on a small wooden platform that was constructed on one of the large branches supporting the tree house. Charlie strolled into the backyard and waved up at Ashley covering his eyes from the sun while adjusting his sight to see Ashley under the shade of the tree.

“Hey, whatcha doin’?”sporting a silly grin from ear to ear, his hands coming down to his sides and fumbling for shelter in his shorts pockets. He always had a bit of nervous excitement when he would first see her.

“Trying to fish,” she replied, her wide eyes growing narrow; she was glaring now. “But SOMEbody is swimming where I’m trying to fish and scaring ‘em all away!” she said sticking out her tongue and then smiling.

Charlie laughed, “maybe you need better bait?”

“Just get up here before the sharks get you!”

Charlie scrambled up the board ladder, nailed to the side of the tree, and climbed through the bottom hatch of the little tree house. Crawling along the branch to the wooden platform where Ashley sat, Charlie gingerly positioned himself next to his cute, little brown hair, brown-eyed neighbor. For as long as he could remember, Charlie had a crush on her, but only his grandparents knew. He was too afraid to risk changing their perfect friendship.

Ashley’s mom poked her head out of the second floor house window, “you two better be careful up there! Oh,” she paused to take a mental picture of the scene. “Let me get the camera; you two look so adorable!”

Charlie and Ashley looked at each other and made a sour face. They both felt self-conscious when forewarned about a picture being taken. Mom came out with an old Polaroid camera and pointed it up towards them on the tree branch.

“Say cheeseburger!” Ashley’s mom beamed from behind the camera.

They beamed back at her, arm in arm, celebrating a simple— but memorable summer day of their youth. As the flash lit up the shadows of the giant oak tree, Charlie could feel Ashley start to tremble and shake. This wasn’t good. She sometimes - rarely really - had a tendency to go into epileptic seizures. As rare as they are, they usually happened while she was watching t.v. or looking at the computer screen. Never before had a seizure been triggered by a camera flash.

Before Charlie could grasp the seriousness of the situation, Ashley shook free of his arm and slid off the edge, plummeting towards the green grass 15 feet below. Her mother screamed and ran to where she landed on the ground. Despite being lost in a state of shock, Charlie scrambled down from the tree and whisked himself to Ashley’s side.

“No, no, no!” Ashley’s mom cried, as she gently lifted her head, finding a tree root underneath along with some blood. Instantly, shock turned to urgency.

“Call 911! Now, Charlie, call them!”

As he quickly, nervously dove his hand into his pocket to retrieve his cell phone, he called for help. Despite the lack of clarity in Charlie’s trembling words, the operator took note of the situation and assured Charlie that help was on the way.

“They’ll be here soon” he said to Ashley’s mom, almost on the verge of tears, looking down at Ashley’s now still body. The convulsions stopped once she lost consciousness.

Charlie reached into his other pocket instinctively, as his mind became numb with sadness, and found the photo. He pulled the photo out and looked down at his grandfather’s peaceful, angelic smile. The photo pictured his grandfather and himself when he was maybe ten-years-old, pausing for a break on their hike along a wooded path of the Appalachian Trail. This was his most cherished and favorite picture of them together. It was the doorway. On the other side, Charlie - and Ashley, would be protected. He knew what he had to do and he had to do it quickly.
Charlie kneeled down and held Ashley’s hand. The air became light, as his surroundings began to blur. He allowed the darkness and butterflies to envelop the both of them, all the while repeating in his head, “Come on, come on, you’re going to be okay.” He held her hand as firmly as possible without trying to hurt her. His love for her was pure and innocent. Charlie wouldn’t allow anything to happen to her, not his Ashley.

After the whirlwind of wings and bright lights subsided, Charlie came back to consciousness. He found himself lying on the ground next to the trail. His eyes fluttered open, discovering his grandfather’s gentle, wise eyes looking back at him.

“Where is she? Is she here?” Charlie asked starting to look around.

“She’s fine, she’s right here Charlie, you did good” his grandfather said consolingly, pointing to his side at Ashley as she began to stir.

Charlie smiled in relief, and reached over to hold her hand again.

“She’ll be ok as long as she’s here… un
“She’ll be ok as long as she’s here… until she gets some help” Grandpa explained.

“What happened? What’s going on?” Ashley said in a fog, and began to sit up.

Charlie sat up along with Ashley, “everything’s going to be ok.”

They looked into each other’s eyes, as Charlie smiled.
@some half blood - you must really have a hard time getting through a paperback if you thought this tiny short story was long! hehe

the prizes always run out but shop items that you have to pay to get never run out ever. a lot of people who use it and say it's real admit that it's really hard to get items. I've used other free give away sites but swagbucks seems legit. Whenever i redeem something there I ACTUALLY GET THE ITEM. with lockerz they will cancel your order with no refund. again, in lockerz you have a really low chance of getting stuff. Everyone who says it's not a scam asks for invites or gets stupid things like a hamburger usb. the only way you get stuff from lockerz is to buy the item in shop. yeah they have the pointz slider but $4 off the item is 52000 ptz. ok so like i'm gonna spend years just to get 4$ off an item . hell no.

What are some damn workout things I can do using two 25 pound weights, a floor, and a pull-up bar?

I used to workout, but cracked my back at work. So I've been doing everything like a bruised hooker for the past month.

Are there any routines using the things I said that can help me gain/gain back muscle fast now that my back is pretty good now? I run like 4-5 times a week, but that's all I do right now.

Any suggestions?

I don't wanna do a gym membership cuz I can do it in my home for free haha

How to put on a recoil pad, when the recoil pad makes the gun too long?

I am teaching someone who is under five feet tall, how to shoot a Winchester Model 94 .30-30 with an offset 3x scope. The recoil is just a little bit too much for him to shoot comfortably. I was thinking he was complaining for no reason, but he pulled his T-shirt over to the side and off his right shoulder and showed me a very visible bruise that was just turning green and purple from an earlier shooting session. He has a slender, underdeveloped upper body, and has just thin flesh over bone on his shoulder where you put the gun. His arms are like two white sticks, and he needs some padding between him and the rifle. I have tried a slip on recoil pad, a pad that attaches to the right shoulder with two straps, and simply putting a piece of foam rubber between his shoulder, and the buttstock of the rifle. All these solutions have the same problem. They put the gun too far away from his eye. I don't want to take the drastic step of taking the rifle to the gunsmith, and having him cut off two inches of stock and put a recoil pad on. Is there a simpler way of handling this problem?

Will the weight of the bullet make a difference? Normally, I would have him shoot 150 grain bullets. But we will hunt in the California Condor Zone Region where you have to use lead free bullets. And everything I have read says that 150 grain Lead Free Bullets are not adequate on deer. There has been a rash of deer shot in the shoulder blade with 150 grain lead free bullets, who just shake it off and run into the forest to slowly die. So am making him use 170 grain bullets to practice, to get used to it.

Is there anything I can do?

So I think I'm depressed. Since I work the graveyard shift, I have a lot of time to think. I've been squeezed, smashed, and thrown around all over the place emotionally. In middle school and high school, I was made fun of because I had braces and glasses at the same time. I always fought with my parents and brother, even though I love them all to death. I've been lied to and cheated on from girls. I tend to stay in my room a lot and I like it when its dark. I work out, eat healthy am very clean, and dress well; but none of those things Truly makes me happy. I tried buying things and that stuff didn't make me happy. I am a Christian and believe in God. Trust is a big issue with me. On the outside people see this confident, good looking guy who always smiles, and is in a good mood. But on the inside I feel alone and that there's nothing there. I just want to be happy. My ex girlfriend turned me into a pill popper and alcoholic who has panic attacks from time to time. That happened about a year and a half ago. I know longer do drugs and I'll rarely drink.I feel like I'm locked in a cage in a dark room where it's nothing but cold, wet, and dark. But there is this one girl that I'm talking to. I call her my "Angel" because I feel like she's heaven sent and she has come to shed light into my own personal hell. When I think about her, I see sunshine, clouds, and an open green field. Where were able to run wild and free. I've never had a feeling like this with a girl before. What do yall think?
She makes me feel like I can accomplish anything. I know I need to get to know her more, but that's a strong vibe i get from her and that's one of the many reasons why I'm attracted to her.

Protectors - A race of not-quite-human beings. They are immortal and angelically beautiful, but they also have reproduction organs. Their emotions are much stronger than humans, so if another Protector, Hunter or Prey killed their mate, they would be distraught and would try to avenge them. They were created to protect the Prey. Humans.

Hunters - Like Protectors, but stronger and faster. They love feeding off humans energy. They target and track Prey with incredible agility.

Prey - Humans. Weak. Frail. In their eyes the Protectors and Hunters are gorgeous. This is one of the several features meant to attract Prey to them.

Protectors and Hunters growl, snarl, hiss and curl their lips back and bare their teeth as signs of aggression when provoked.

Lola is a Protector of a boy named Ross.

Ross is being tracked by Lola's once betrothed Peter. Peter turned to the Hunters when Lola refused to marry him. He is now seeking vengeance.

Lola and Ross are very close. Best friends. Lola doesn't know that Ross is in love with her until he attempts to kiss her one night (Protectors must always stay by the side of their Protectees). She slaps him across the face and knocks him out (thanks to her enormous strength).

She flees, crying, from his room and runs away.

Ross wakes up in an unfamiliar room. Peter is standing over him, fondling a knife. He tells Ross that he is going to kill him unless Lola returns and marries him and becomes a Hunter.

Indeed he is right, Lola returns to save Ross when he is reported missing. She and Peter have a fight, with her ending up bloody and beaten. She caves in to Peter's demands, to save Ross, because she realises she does love him.

She marries Peter in a dark ceremony, wearing a traditional black Hunter's dress, and then exchanges blood with Peter, and becomes a Hunter. Her lovely blue eyes turn a bloody red.

Ross is freed, yet tries to save Lola. She is writhing and twisting with agony as she turns. His blood is burning hers, and stopping her heart. The change is failing. She's going to die.

Ross does what he thinks is right. He grabs the knife that Peter dropped as he ran off, seeing his newly wed wife dying, cuts himself, and performs another blood exchange.

Lola is almost dead, bleeding on the floor. She kisses Ross sweetly, telling him she loved him, and dies. Once a Protector dies, they become nothing but spirits. She floats into the air and flies away.

In a ten years later flashforward, Ross is married to a nice girl called Nicole, with a little girl, Lola.

What AFQT Score Do I Need To Get In Order To Be An MP (Military Police)?

I recently just took the ASVAB, and my AFQT score was the BARE MINIMUM to get in. I got a 34 - absolutely nothing to brag about. I'm going to retake the test soon - and I have my eyes set for an MP (Military Police) job. Do you know what the minimum score is in order to land an MP job in the military?

Also, since I did a pretty lousy job on the test, I was wondering if anyone can give me a few tips on what to do for the next test. (What books are the best to study from? What strategies should I use when taking the test? How to use my time wisely when taking the test? How to make educated guesses when I'm running out of time? etc...). MY WEAKNESSES: ARITHMETIC REASONING, MATHEMATICS KNOWLEDGE, WORD KNOWLEDGE, AUTO & SHOP INFORMATION, ELECTRONICS INFORMATION, AND ASSEMBLING OBJECTS. (I know, MORE than half the test - which means I have some SERIOUS studying to do.

Problem is, first time I took the test, I did study for it. But literally NONE of the information in this 2010 "updated" ASVAB book was on the test. Except for maybe... 2 questions. And I know that the questions aren't going to be exact, and a few of the questions might be completely new to me, but when the WHOLE test is like that, what good is it to buy an updated book when none of that information is on the test? (FYI: I bought "Kaplan's ASVAB 2010 Edition.")

However, I am interested in other jobs that include: Criminal Investigation, Forensics, Police work... etc. If there are any jobs that fit that description, please feel free to list them!!! Why don't women lift heavy free weights much?

I was always under the impression that women can't bulk up naturally, so it's not like low reps, heavy weight lifting will turn them into body builders. I mean lifting weights burns so many calories, during and after the activity, so it's way more efficient way of losing weight when you compare it to like running, or doing like leg lifts or little tricep extensions with 5 pound dumbells for 50 reps. Is it perceptual, or is there just something unhealthy about women lifting heavy?

is the starter actually engaging?

Hey all,

Kia rio 04 stalled at light and refused to start again..ran great to this point..

When I turn over the key there is no clicking sound..there is no grinding..the engine doesn't even attempt to engage..I get a loud whinning sound.( something like an electric drill)..the belts turn fast...
Does this mean that infact the starter is engageing yet there is no combustion to turn the engine over.
or does it mean that perhaps the pinion of the starter never engaged the flywheel and is just free wheeling?
do you believe the starter is acting correctly?...I know one can easily bench test them but the removal of a kia's starter is a pain. Talk about cramped quarters!!!!

How do I get my medication at a discount or for free even?

I have been off of my anti depressant medication for about 3 months now. Unfortunately it is because my insurance ran out. So now I am feeling really overwhelmed by life and all that I am going through right now and really need my meds. I was able to get one in a generic form for $4 at Wal-Mart, but the other two Wellbutrin XL and Abilify are so outrageously expensive that I can't afford to get them. I have no income right now, but I really really need these medicines. My Doctor prescribed them, but is no help as to how I am going to get them. Please. Anyone know what I can do quickly?

Charlie grabbed the picture from his nightstand and bolted out of the front door, almost tripping over Alfie. Alfie was grandma’s 105-year-old yellow lab— that’s in dog years, of course. They shared the same birthday together, only one year apart. Charlie was only twelve, but somehow, since the passing of his parents and grandfather, he felt older, wiser. Alfie acknowledged the disturbance of his nap with a lazy, single bark and then settled his head back down on his arthritic paws to dream the rest of the summer day away.

Across the street, Ashley was playing in her tree house, pretending to fish off one of the large supporting branches that cradled the house in the tree itself. Charlie skipped into the backyard and waved up at Ashley.

“Hey, whatcha doin’?” his hands behind his back, sporting a silly grin from ear to ear.

“Trying to fish,” she replied, her wide eyes growing narrow; she was glaring now. “But SOMEbody is swimming where I’m trying to fish and scaring ‘em all away!”

Charlie laughed, “maybe you need better bait?”

“Just get up here before the sharks get you!”

Charlie scrambled up the board ladder, nailed to the side of the tree, and climbed through the bottom hatch of the little tree house. Crawling along the branch to the wooden platform where Ashley sat, Charlie gingerly positioned himself next to his cute, little brown hair, brown-eyed neighbor. For as long as he could remember, Charlie had a crush on her, but he wouldn’t tell a soul.

Ashley’s mom poked her head out of the second floor house window, “you two better be careful up there! Oh,” she paused to take a mental picture of the scene. “Let me get the camera; you two look so adorable!”

Charlie and Ashley looked at each other and made a sour face. They both felt self-conscious when forewarned about a picture being taken. Mom came out with an old Polaroid camera and pointed it up towards them on the tree branch.

“Say cheeseburger!” Ashley’s mom beamed from behind the camera.

They beamed back at her, arm in arm, celebrating a simple— but memorable summer day of their youth. As the flash lit up the shadows of the giant oak tree, Charlie could feel Ashley start to tremble and shake. This wasn’t good. She sometimes, rarely had a tendency to go into epileptic seizures. They were so rare, though, and usually happened while she was watching t.v. or looking at the computer screen.

Before Charlie could grasp the seriousness of the situation, Ashley shook free of his arm and slid off the edge, plummeting towards the green grass 15 feet below. Her mother screamed and ran to where she landed on the ground. Despite being lost in a state of shock, Charlie jumped down from the latter and found himself by Ashley’s side.

“No, no, no!” Ashley’s mom cried, as she gently lifted her head, finding a tree root underneath along with some blood. Instantly, shock turned to urgency.

“Call 911! Now, Charlie, call them!”

As he quickly, nervously dove his hand in his pocket retrieving his cell phone, he called for help. Despite the lack of clarity in Charlie’s trembling words, the operator took note of the situation and assured Charlie that help was on the way.

“They’ll be here soon, Mrs. Valentino,” he said, almost on the verge of tears, looking down at Ashley’s now still body. The convulsions stopped once she lost consciousness.

Charlie reached into his other pocket instinctively, as his mind became numb with sadness, and found a photo. He pulled the photo out and looked down at his grandfather’s peaceful, angelic smile. The photo pictured his grandfather and himself when he was maybe seven-years-old, pausing for a break on their hike along a wooded path of the Appalachian Trail. This was his most cherished and favorite picture of them together. It was the doorway; the walkway into another plane. He knew what he had to do and he had to do it quickly.

Charlie kneeled down and held Ashley’s hand. The air became light, as his surroundings began to blur. He allowed the darkness and butterflies envelop the both of them, all the while repeating in his head, “Come on, come on, you’re going to be okay.” He held her hand as firmly as possible without trying to hurt her. His love for her was pure and innocent. Charlie wouldn’t allow anything to happen to her, not his Ashley.

After the whirlwind of wings and bright lights subsided, Charlie came back to consciousness. He found himself lying on the ground next to the trail. His eyes fluttered open, discovering his grandfather’s gentle, wise eyes looking back at him.

“Where is she? Is she here?” Charlie asked, starting to look around.

Well, G, your efforts (and frustrations… haha) surely paid off. I mean, I really enjoyed the story. I liked the picture it painted for me and I liked the entertainment value. It irritates me that the end was cut off, and I forgot to save a copy of my edits on my computer (not sure where my mind has been these past few days… nope, can’t use that excuse for “ladder,” though, because I thought it was always called “latter.” Hm, I feel pretty stupid right now. Haha, oh well, at least I’ve only been going fourteen years thinking it was a “latter.”), but at least it was only a small portion. Still, I really need to start checking these things and saving my edits.

Anyway, I noticed that you just asked another question, which I’m assuming has the newest edits. I’ll take a look at that. :)

Do i have over protective parents? How do i deal with them?

I am 14 years old. I am not allowed at all to leave my house at all unless my dad or mom come with me. I cant go to the mall unless my mom or dad goes with me. My mom thinks i'm gay because i dont have a girlfriend but when i ask if i can go out with a girl she starts freaking out thinking im going to have sex. I'm not allowed to go hang out at friends houses for too long and i cant hang out with friends around my area without my parents. I have to show my parents all my texts and let tyhem know my facebook password and add them too! they wont let me join football because ill get hurt and i had asthma when i was 8 but they think i should still wait a while to join sports which caused me to get fat since i cannot excersize. How do i get them to give me freedom? I tried to talk to them but we just ended up arguin until it got so bad my mom broke my phone in half and whipped me with a metal necklace and Tried to punch me in the face. Then she cried and my dad was soooo mad. WHAT DO I DO TO BE FREE? I DONT WANNA GROW UP TO BE 18 WITHOUT HAVING HAD A GIRLFRIEND AND BEING FAT. I’m currently running an XP Pro machine with CYGWIN installed to support a SSH server. I’m using Comodo for my firewall (great little program), but it appears to lack the ability to blacklist clients. What I need is a (preferably free) firewall that will allow all incoming connections to a port, but will dynamically blacklist an IP range based on the source of the client and the number of failed connection attempts.

Supposedly, Firestarter for Linux can do this (with a bit of command line work). However, I’m looking for something that can either be run on Windows or run through CYGWIN. I looked around for a portable Firestarter but could not find one. If anyone has any ideas, I’d greatly appreciate them. Heck if there’s a way to make the Windows Firewall dynamically blacklist (I doubt it), that’s a fair idea too. Thanks.

“Hello Evel,” the principal said turning towards her. “Hope you have been having a good day.”
“Because it’s about to end,” the cronies said together.
“Evel! Duck!” a voice yelled from down the hall. Evel turned while she ducked down to see Kray racing towards her shooting arrows. There was a screech as everyone dove out of the way. “C’mon!” Kray grabbed Evel’s hand ripping her off the floor. They raced down the hallway towards the emergency exit. But something caught Evel’s leg tripping her. Evel looked back to see Jenni’s tongue wrapped around her leg pulling her towards them. Evel heard a scream only to realize it came from her own mouth. There was a streak of silver and a screech then the tongue dropped from her leg. Evel looked up to realize that Kray had cut her free.
“Thanks!” Evel breathed climbing to her feet.
“Don’t thank me yet,” Kray said staring at the cronies. Two beautiful girls stood there one second then their hair seemed to grow longer and longer coating their bodies. Their beautifully manicured nails grew longer and longer turning into sharp claws that could easily cut through bone. Their canines grew until they reached their chins. When the change had ended two monsters crouched in front of Evel. They had bodies of panthers and the face of a bat with the back legs of a horse. Their snake tails swirled around their bodies waiting for a command. The monster whose tongue was cut off was spitting out blood but when the tongue fell to the side its mouth it was healed. As though Kray’s sword had never touched it. Only the principal didn’t change.
“Attack,” he said quietly to the monsters. With a roar they charged towards the girls running up the wall. Kray whipped out her sword spinning it eloquently around her. Her ice blue eyes had a fire in them. She charged at the closest monster swinging her sword around her head. She would make a move and the monster would make a move. With each move there was a deafening crash. Metal meeting teeth. Kray made the fight look like a dance that was rehearsed. But she made the wrong move. There was a yelp as the monsters claws raked her skin leaving a deep gash in her side. Evel was so intent on watching Kray that she had not noticed the other monster creep up on her. With a yowl it pounced pinning Evel to the floor. As the creature smiled at its prey a wad of yellow spit slid from its mouth landing inches from Evel’s head burning the floor.
“It’s funny how I called you the freak, when I truly am the freak,” the monster wheezed with a sinister laugh. “This won’t hurt. Freaks honor!”
There will be a romance. Between Evel and Deklan (a character you meet exactly two lines after this part ended)

Pytanie #36:

What could be the problem with this pony pinning her ears back, and how can I solve it?

I'm working with a pony for my trainer. I'm training and getting some show mileage on her so when she is ready for sale, she will be a good intermediate childs pony. She's very lovely, she has nice gaits, jumps 2'3" courses comfortably (could easily do a 2'6" course), auto changes, always pins at shows, ect. I've done pleasure pony to low childrens to equitation classes, and she's been great.

So anyway, lately when I've been asking her to move off my leg or go from a walk to a trot or trot to canter, and when we start jumping, she puts her head up and pins her ears back. I really can't see what the problem would be.

She just had her teeth floated, and she's had the same bit so I don't really think its a teeth problem. I honestly don't think this behavior is from her being in heat, because its constant and never goes away. She moves nicely and is sound as ever.

Since she isn't mine, I can't really call the vet out and have a thorough look at her. I've examined her back for any bumps, and there is nothing. I can run my hand down her spine applying pressure and she doesnt flinch at all.

At first I thought she was doing this because she was worried about her lead changes, because she would start when I would jump her and then throw little bucks to get the changes. I thought that it made her worried, but it doesn't seem to be the case. She's a real sweetheart on the ground and when we're walking. Once we start trotting, she settles down. But when we canter and jump, her head is up and her ears are back. I use a martingale on her. I guess the fit of the saddle could be a problem, but i've researched proper fittings and such and it seems to meet the requirements... I even use a sheepskin halfpad, like a wither-relief pad or something on just for extra comfort. :/

This is a really gorgeous pony and I don't want this pissy-ness with her head and ears to turn people away.

So, any thoughts on what could be the problem, and any advice on how I might be able to get closer to fixing the problem? Obviously I won't be able to fix it overnight or even a week, it'll take time and patience- I know that. But any little thing I can do I'd love to. (: Any questions feel free to ask! thanks so much!
Im not tense at all and i have super soft hands- something I've learned from another mare who hated having any contact with hermouth. I just had to have softer hands.
well shes young, so she isnt completely understanding of how to use herself. thats actually something we've been working on in our lessons- getting her hind end engaged and trying to show her how to use herself. i put on draw reins to get her nose in and then used lots of leg. i also tried to slow my posting, to see if she'd adjust herself. it actually worked for a few steps at a time, so i could say thats progress.

What happens if I paint over top of the carpet glue in my basement?

I understand the the proper way to paint my concrete basement would be to remove the carpet glue that was previously there (really thin layer of zig zagging yellowish glue, I had carpet before but I ripped it off, carpet is not my friend). I bought some stuff to remove the carpet glue but it was 20 bucks a bottle, it worked really well but it only got like 15% of my room glue free and I ran out... I really don't want to buy anymore of this stuff because of price and toxicity (it's probably the most toxic stuff I've ever seen... should have to be effin ID'd for this stuff haha). I was wondering, what will happen if I just say screw it and go ahead and start painting, even over the rest of the areas that have glue. The paint that I have bought and will be using is BEHR Premium Plus Porch and Floor 100% acrylic latex (says it can be used on just about anything outdoors like decks, along with basements etc... the guy at Home Depot told me this is what I should use). Would it be an ABSOLUTE no to painting over it? Should I just get some hot water and suck it up and scrape the rest off?

ok so im vegetarian and i dont really eat alot of eggs or cheese, so im cutting down but i went to visit the farm i get my eggs from, and i really dont see any harm come to these chickens at all they are free range and run around where ever they like, they are fed seeds and bread etc twice daily and live in a cattery farm with turkeys also kept there the lady who runs the farm is lovely and kills no animals or harms them she takes in 8 animals per year from shelters whether that be dogs,cats,rodents any animal really and has the facilites to look after them all i love this woman and her work she does for animals shes a trained vetinary nurse in domestic and exotic animals, and i am 100% sure she does not harm/kill any animal, do you think after me telling you all this its bad for me to eat eggs from there ???!

and secondly what the heck is with the trolls on here why do they come on and say things like "i like killing animals, where can i volunteer in a slaughter house ?? this is a vegetarian and vegan section why cant they just get lifes!!!!!!!
karina, the chickens are always free range they have a shelter but they do as they please when they please, and no it is not just when people visit i know this for fact, because i show up whenever i dont phone and say im coming or anything and shes had loads of chickens and turkeys and even if she wanted to keep them in she has no barns or anything to put them in its just the land the cattery and her house! lol and by the way to say its selfish to take a chickens egg away is quite inconsiderate of you when i clearly stated im vegetarian AND NOT vegan i tried being vegan and for me personally it ruined my life, cut back i would say i must eat 3 eggs a week max so please if your going to say things like that just dont answer my questions what you believe is not what i belive DUH! as im vegetarian and your vegan!

maybe this is your views but look i dont eat cheese, i only eat eggs from this farm, i try my best to not support the dairy industry i know how bad it is, being vegan ruined my life in many ways 1.i was sick 2.i dont like nuts,beans,or pulses.3.i only like certain vegtables.4.i hate tofu,quorn any fake meat and i hate soy milk these things make me hurl and thats just because im really fussy 5.i found myself living on fruit! 6. i was unhappy i couldnt go out for dinner because where i live theres no vegan restraunts, and i couldnt go grab a bite too eat with my friends.7. i wasnt invited to peoples houses for dinner because people were so uncomfertable about cooking for me. the list goes on im happy being vegetarian and i think its better than eating meat and it is better for me to help 75% rather than 0% and i know about the dairy industry and if i could be vegan i would i have been advised not to by trained proffesionals who certainly know more than you!

emily - THANKYOU! finally i come across a decent kind vegan something i dont come across often on here as all i get is told what to do and what not to do, thankyou for your comment and not trying to convert me from the way i am, im happy being vegetarian and too be honest some of these people on here have no consideration for what i do. that does help i volunteer my spare time after college and work to help at a local animal shelter and i work in the vets :) but all these things and the fact im vegetarian dont count on here because im a selfish git for eating eggs from a farm where i no that no harm come to any animals :) but thanks again emily!

On my fathers side of the family they are really party 'ers. if you know what i mean like they love to go and party and drink and on my mothers side her parents where alcoholic's. my mother said be careful causes its in you blood and some of my cousin party hard and get drunk. and i want to be one like them.......no listen before you say something rude like just per presser (no) and you just trying to be cool (no cause my friends think i am stupid for wanting to do that). I have asked this question before and people say that wouldn't you like to be the one generation to not do that.(i don't know?)
I am terrified that i will like become drunk and pregnant or do something stupid or drive and hurt someone. I see story's about people dying because a drunk driver hit them and i don;t want that to happen.

Please understand that partying and drinking runs in my family and this isn;t a stupid question or something that i can ignore when all want is to party. i am only 13 and i don;t want to become a drunken person when i get older. now also understand that i can not talk to anyone about this problem so its what you say that will have to help me ( no friends, no family, nobody) so please help. And i know that i will have to work when i get older so i am thinking why not get a job soon like when i am 14 and try and focus on that so i don't have any free time?

WASHINGTON — Senate Republicans blocked legislation imposing new restrictions on political activity by special interest groups Tuesday, likely dealing a fatal blow to a drive by the White House and congressional Democrats to rewrite campaign rules in the run-up to the midterm elections.

The 57-41 vote was three short of the total needed to advance the measure, which calls for greater disclosure on campaign advertising funded independently by corporations, unions and other organizations, but included an exemption for the National Rifle Association and a small number of other groups.

Less than 100 days before the elections, the debate was highly political — and the outcome widely anticipated.

Anticipating defeat, Democrats swiftly unleashed a coordinated attack employing one of their emerging campaign themes. "After a year of defending big banks, big insurance, big oil and other special interests, Republicans might want to drown out the voices of Americans who don't have the financial resources of big corporations but want to have their say in this year's elections," the party's chairman, Tim Kaine, said in a statement.

Republicans, anticipating big gains in the fall, folded the day's Senate events into their own election-year argument — that Democrats have been unsuccessful in easing double-digit unemployment.

"Today was a rebuke to congressional Democrats who need to put aside their electoral self-interest and start addressing our struggling economy, which continues to be the primary concern among American voters," GOP Chairman Michael Steele said.

Democrats drafted the bill in response to a Supreme Court ruling last winter that said corporations and unions were free to spend their own money on advertising, mass mailings and other forms of political activity. A companion measure cleared the House last month on a near party-line vote over vociferous Republican protests.

Under both bills, nearly all organizations airing political ads independently of candidates or the political parties would be required to disclose their top donors and the amounts they paid. The group's CEO or other top official would be required to appear on screen taking responsibility for the commercial.

Additionally, any business, union or other entity holding a government contract worth more than $10 million would be banned from a variety of political activity, as would firms in possession of federal bailout funds and corporations in which foreigners own more than a majority of voting shares.

Corporations, labor unions and others engaging in certain types of independent political activity would be required to report donations, dues or other contributions from all donors who have given $600 or more.

Whatever the partisanship involved, the legislation was a case study in the power of special interests.

The NRA exemption originally was added in the House after Democrats concluded it was essential if moderate and conservative members of the rank and file were to vote for the legislation. The loophole was then broadened as the leadership sought to quell criticism that it was bowing to a group that had been instrumental in blocking gun control bills long sought by liberals.

In the end, the NRA was officially neutral, angering Republicans who didn't want Democrats to have any political help in advancing the legislation.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AFL-CIO both opposed the bill, a rare agreement of two arch-foes. Organized labor had been neutral when the bill passed the House, but switched its position after changes were made to tighten reporting requirements for transfers of dues money from local unions and their national headquarters.

The American Civil Liberties Union also was against the bill, arguing it was a violation of First Amendment rights.

The constitutional debate was overshadowed by the approach of elections, though.

Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., the bill's chief sponsor, said it was intended to crack down on shadowy campaign groups that spend heavily on attack ads. Referring to Republicans, he said, "There are visions, visions in people's heads of Karl Rove spending $50 million funded by people we don't know to attack candidates for reasons we're not sure of and never putting their name to it."

Republicans were unpersuaded.

"This bill is a partisan effort, pure and simple, drafted behind closed doors by current and former Democrat campaign committee leaders," said Sen. Mitch McConnell, the GOP Senate leader. "And it's aimed at one thing and one thing only: this bill is about protecting incumbent Democrats from criticism ahead of November."

I'm running out of space on my computer, it's mainly filled with music and video games. In My Computer this is what it looks like. Data (D:) has 144 GB free, and Acer (C:) only has 22 GB free. Obviously stuff is only being saved to C:, am I supposed to be saving to the other drive? Am I able to? I don't want to have to delete half of my programs.

This is a part in my story, Izzi is jumping off a building, but she's not human so she doesn't die. Izzi doesn't know what she is, so she tries to escape from her humanness by doing dangerous things. Here it is:

“IZZI! GET YOUR BUT DOWN FROM THERE, NOW!” Amanda shouted for the fourth time. She had already called the police and they hadn’t arrived yet. What else was she supposed to do? There was no one around.
I closed me eyes. “Forgive me,” I prayed and jumped over the edge. The wind picked up and I could see the ground below me. It wasn’t a very tall building — the ones I preferred — and it didn’t last long. My hands were out stretched, the air resistance getting stronger.
This was it.
I pulled my hands to my chest, strained my eyes tightly, and struggled to position my feet towards the ground. My heart pounded and blood rushed through my veins rapidly — I could feel it now — I knew I wasn’t going to die. It worked, I was freed.
“Whoa!” I voiced in pure excitement. The power, the control, the chains lifted. It was no adrenalin, nothing close to that, but it felt like… nothing. Like the time on the playground at the daycare center… nothing. And all the children were amazed.
“OH MY GOD! SHE’S FREAKIN’ CRAZY!” I heard Amanda screaming again. That meant it was over. My feet were on the ground, mouth open, hands steady beside me in an awkward squat.
“What is wrong with me?” I thought. “What happened...? Why is this happening to me?” I couldn’t understand how this pure feeling could have been possible. It was like after the jump was over the chains locked on me instantly.
“IZZI!” Amanda ran to me, furry in her light-blue eyes. “WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU? Wait, I know. YOU’RE CRAZY!”
“Sorry…” I muttered. “I just don’t understand,”
“Understand what?”
“How this is possible”
“I don’t see of that was possible to. You did jump right?”
“Weren’t you watching?”
“Not really. I was too busy screaming and you ignored me. Shouldn’t you be dead? I don’t understand that either,”
“Man, this sucks.” I dug in my pocket in search of my cell phone — it wasn’t there. “Amanda, can I use your cell phone?”
“NO! You’re coming with me,” She took my hand and pulled me away. We had to jump the gate again to get out. I wasn’t sure where we were, it was the only building I could find. It was a kind of tall, light-blue with white strips, narrow building that was guarded by a metal gate.
“…And if you ever do that again, I will personally rip your arm off…” Amanda was rambling, still holding my hand, afraid that I would run away. I didn’t mind her rambling — I was too engrossed in trying to grasp the concept of death stunts and chains.

An Ode To Old England
(My Poem)

Why won’t you
let poor old England lie
down in the long grass,
and cry out it’s misgivings.
Old England’s knees must ache,
and it’s eyes must burn

as red as flames
from the sun.
So allow me
to feel the strong hand of liberty
upon the shoulder of this land,
where the monarchic kings for ever more,
do not ridicule the milkman at their door.

(My Poem)

He does not understand
why I tried to leave today.
Maybe he never will.
But I had to leave for my sanity
was being questioned
by the man at the black door.

Occasionally I’m allowed
to roll across the hills,
glancing the eyes of everyone
who cares to look;
at the rope tied carefully around my waist,
allowing them to
pull and push me,
never allowing me to be free.

In a moment of peace,
I wrote the letter,
that should’ve been my last.
But I heard the footsteps. On
the wooden floor.
And I felt the rope
tighten.

But a sudden injection of pace
may catch them off guard.
So I try to run,
to the end of the drive
but the burning of my hips,
tells me
not this time, son.

Well what could I say
to them?
They say I cant make it
on my own.

Soul Protector

Charlie grabbed the picture from his night stand and bolted out of the front door almost tripping over Alfie, grandma’s 105 year old (in dog years) yellow lab. They shared the same birthday together, only one year apart. Charlie was only 14 but he felt older and wiser somehow since the passing of his parents and grandfather. Alfie acknowledged the disturbance of his nap with a lazy, single bark, then settled his head back down on his arthritic paws to slumber the rest of the summer day away.

Across the street, Ashley was playing in her tree house, pretending to fish off of one of the large supporting branches that supported the house in the tree itself. Charlie skipped into the back yard and waved up at Ashley.

“Hey, what are ya doin?” his hands behind his back, sporting a silly grin from ear to ear.

“Trying to fish, but SOMEbody is swimming where I’m trying to fish and scaring them all away!”

“Maybe you need better bait?”

“Get up here before the sharks get you!”

Charlie scrambled up the board ladder nailed to the side of the tree and climbed through the bottom hatch of the little tree house. Crawling along the branch to the wooden platform that Ashley was fishing off of, Charlie gingerly positioned himself next to his cute little brown hair, brown eyed neighbor who he’s had a crush on since he can remember.

Ashley’s mom poked her head out of the second floor house window, “you two better be careful up there! Oh let me get the camera, you two look so cute!”

Charlie and Ashley looked at each other and made a sour face. They both felt self conscious when forewarned about a picture being taken. Mom came out with an old Polaroid camera and pointed it up towards them on the tree branch.

“Say cheeseburger!” Ashley’s mom beamed behind the camera.

They beamed back at her arm in arm celebrating a simple but memorable summer day of their youths. As the flash lit up the shadows of the giant oak tree, Charlie could feel Ashley start to tremble and shake. This wasn’t good. She sometimes, rarely had a tendency to go into epileptic seizures, but they were so rare and usually while watching tv or looking at the computer screen!

Before Charlie really grasped the seriousness of the situation, Ashley shook free of his arm and slid off of the edge, plummeting towards the green grass 15 feet below. Her mother screamed and ran to where she landed on the ground. Charlie scuttled down the tree in shock.

“No, no, no!” Ashley’s mom cried as she gently lifted her head, finding a tree root underneath along with some blood. Shock turned to urgency.

“Call 911…. now.”

As he quickly, nervously dove his hand in his pocket retrieving his cell phone, he called for help.

“They’ll be here soon Mrs. Valentino” he said almost on the verge of tears looking down at Ashley’s now still body. The convulsions stopped once she lost consciousness.

Charlie reached in his pocket instinctively as his mind because numb with sadness and found the picture. He pulled the picture out and looked down at his grandfather’s peaceful, angelic smile. The picture showed his grandfather and himself when he was maybe 7, pausing for a break on their hike along a wooded path of the Appalachian Trail. This was his most cherished and favorite picture of them together. It was the doorway. He knew what he had to do, and he had to do it quickly.

Charlie kneeled down and held Ashley’s hand. The air became light, as the surroundings began to blur, he allowed the darkness and butterflies envelop the both of them all the while repeating in his head, “come on, come on, you’re going to be ok.” He held her hand as firmly as possible without trying to hurt her. His love for her was pure and innocent. Charlie would not allow anything to happen to Ashley.

After the whirlwind of wings and bright lights subsided, Charlie came back to consciousness. He found himself laying on the ground next to the trail. His eyes fluttered open discovering his grandfather’s gentle, wise eyes looking back at him.

“Where is she? Is she here?” Charlie asked starting to look around.

“She’s fine, she’s right here Charlie, you did good” his grandfather said consolingly, pointing to his side at Ashley as she began to stir.

Charlie smiled in relief, and reached over to hold her hand again.

“She’ll be ok as long as she’s here… until she gets some help” Grandpa explained.

“What happened? What’s going on?” Ashley said in a fog, and began to sit up.

Charlie sat up along with Ashley, “everything’s going to be ok.”

They looked into each other’s eyes, as Charlie smiled.

Ultimate Dancer, oh thanks! Yeah, that's supposed to be "became", but it's not spell checkable since the word is spelled right, I think that's why I missed it :)

I know it needs some work, and the transition or more detail I'll leave up to my writing partner :) I'm glad so far the general basic storyline is liked though!
Overall I think I just want to leave the whole reasoning behind things a mystery and leave it up to you guys. I dunno, was it a magic picture? A gateway to his grandfather's spirit? A halfway place between earth and heaven? You tell me.
We could make the characters younger if you want. I used to play pretend in tree houses up until 15 or so, but they can be around 12? What do you think?

In February 2009, in Omaha, Nebraska, illegal alien drunk driver Romero Garcia, 51, plowed his van into a car being driven by Jasmine Linscott, her sister Elizabeth was sitting in the passenger seat. Both girls were taken to the hospital, with Elizabeth’s injuries requiring the most treatment, racking up thousands in medical bills.

Garcia was charged with DUI, failure to yield, and no insurance.

The good news is that both young women survived, the bad news is that with their car totaled, their mom, Trish Linscott, not only had to buy another car, but continue making payments on the one which was destroyed by Garcia.

Her insurance did not pay the full amount of her loan, and a judge declared Garcia “indigent,” basically freeing him from any financial restitution to the family.

A much worse story, also taking place in Omaha, took place a few months later, in May, when illegal alien Eleazar Rangel-Ochoa ran a red light and smashed into the Bluhm family’s vehicle. The accident resulted in the death of 4-year-old Josie Bluhm.

Rangel-Ochoa had four prior DUI’s and was driving on a suspended license.

In September 2009, Rangel-Ochoa pleaded no contest to vehicular homicide.
